COVID-19 Closure Update. NMS is working on providing supplemental instruction to students during the school closure. We will be making contact with families following spring break and staff will be preparing resources for at home learning. Keep an eye out for updates.
School Closure Update
Our school closure has been extended to April 28. After spring break our teachers will be adapting their courses to a temporary online format using google classroom, Zoom, online textbooks, edgenuity, and/or other online resources. We are fully committed to adjusting and providing the support needed for all students to earn credit and for our seniors to graduate on time.
According to Governor Brown's mandate to close schools, all school districts must offer to provide childcare services for health care providers, policemen, and first responders. If you are in one of these categories and need help with childcare, please notify the Nyssa School District. We have personnel and facilities available to help!

The Governor announced yesterday that schools will remain closed through April 28, 2020. We are developing plans to provide education to our students. The highest priority will be given to current Seniors so that they can meet all graduation requirements, but all children will receive instruction.
Also, students will get daily food from March 30-April 28 at different locations around town. We will post these locations soon. This is for all youth 18 years and younger. More information to follow.

Change in breakfast and lunch delivery for Mon, Tues, & Wed next week: Buses will start routes at 10:00 am and follow regular routes, which last about an hour. If you don't ride the bus, watch for one coming by and it will stop for you. Breakfast and lunch delivered together.
Hello Nyssa School Community
Parents and students, we plan on serving food Monday-Wednesday next week. Our buses will run their regular routes in order to deliver food. If we see you at the bus stop, we will stop and provide food for you. The breakfast bus starts at 7:30 AM, lunch begins at 11:30 AM.
Per Governor Brown’s announcement regarding school closures, the Oregon School Activities Association (OSAA) has suspended interscholastic practices and contests for sports and activities for all member schools effective today through March 31.
School is In session today 3/13/2020. Oregon Governor Kate Brown has ordered all K-12 schools in the state to close from Monday, March 16 through Tuesday, March 31st because of the corona virus outbreak.
