Here are the next recipients of our Olympic Torch, chosen by the M.S. ISC Team. Here is what was shared: "We are honored to pass the Torch to Erin Beck, Kris Hernandez, Elyssa Olvera, Cindy Ramos and Kendalee Garner. From one Resource Room to another, we know how much hard and dedicated work goes into helping our students with high support needs. Erin and Kris have been great representations of how to step into important roles and not only make it their own, but be successful at it. Elyssa, Cindy and Kendalee are an excellent example of being flexible, caring and patient. The High School SPED Team goes above and beyond to ensure their students achieve their goals and dreams. It really does take a team, and this team is nothing short of extraordinary."

Today we celebrated our incredible School Nurses! A huge thank you to Nurse De Witt and Nurse Ward for everything you do! Caring for our students through bumps, scrapes, cuts, nosebleeds, sick days, and so much more.
Because of your compassion and care, our students feel better, stay safe, and can get back to learning. We appreciate you every day!

Miss Gallegos is awesome with her students. She and Dulce, Norma, Stephanie, and Naomi C do such a great job of making the students in their room feel seen, loved, and included while teaching them as well. I have enjoyed working beside these wonderful ladies so much!"

She has been such a helpful mentor and friend during my mid-year transition into taking over the art program. I appreciate her help and guidance tremendously! I admire how much Katrina cares about her students and wants to see all of them succeed. Students appreciate and respect her realness and want to do well in her class. Here is the recipient of our Olympic Torch this week, chosen by Mrs. Heninger. Here's what she said: "I would like to pass the torch to Mrs. Marianne Corn. She is a rock star! She is new to our district, with joining our staff at the Middle School in the middle of the school year. It is difficult being a new teacher at a school and even more difficult to start in the middle of a school year. She has made a seamless transition with our staff and her students. Her enthusiasm for art and her students is felt by all. She is energetic and works well with all levels of students’ artistic abilities. She goes above and beyond, inspiring her students in art. We are so blessed to have her join our staff."

We wanted to shout out and share what our Nyssa BPA Production Team created! They made an awesome video, with help from our community, on the topic "Farm to Table," showing how sugar beets become sugar. They placed 1st in the state and are now headed to Nationals in Orlando! With support from Amalgamated Sugar, they’re fundraising by selling 4lb bags of sugar. If you’d like to support the team, please email Mrs. Long at

¡Queremos reconocer y compartir lo que creó nuestro equipo de Producción de BPA de Nyssa! In case you haven’t seen it, our school recently added a brand-new walking path behind our Elementary School! Students have already been enjoying it during recess, PE, and even brain breaks throughout the day. It’s a great way to stay active, get some fresh air, and safely enjoy the outdoors.
¡Por si no lo han visto, nuestra escuela recientemente agregó un nuevo camino para caminar detrás de nuestra Primaria! Los estudiantes ya lo han estado disfrutando durante el recreo, las clases de educación física e incluso durante pausas activas a lo largo del día. Es una excelente manera de mantenerse activos, tomar aire fresco y disfrutar del aire libre de forma segura.
