Dear Nyssa Parents, We are looking for host families in the Nyssa School District boundary who are willing to host a foreign exchange high school student for this upcoming school year. If you are interested in hosting a student, please contact Darren Johnson, Superintendent, or Megan Glenn, District Office secretary. These students would arrive in the next two weeks and remain for the entire 2022-23 school year. Dear Nyssa Parents and Students, We hope everyone is having a wonderful summer break so far. Registration for all schools in the Nyssa School District will take place on August 1 from 8:00 am-3:00 pm; and August 2 from 8:00 am-7:00 pm. Please pass this information along to all who need to register a student in grades K-12. If you have any student fees to pay, we have updated our payment system to allow the use of debit and credit cards this year. We are excited to see you all soon! Summer Food Service Program Updates 2022 This letter is to notify the families that have participated in the Summer Food Service Program in the past two years, of changes from running under Covid-19 serving protocols to current summer food service program for 2022. The USDA did not renew the waivers to continue previous serving protocols. In addition to the track, we will also be re-finishing the high school tennis courts beginning July 5. That project will be completed by July 19. Tennis courts will be closed to the public from July 5-19. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

Nyssa High School Families, We are missing over 50 textbooks. Please check with your child and get their help in returning any NHS textbooks. This helps us prepare for next school year and prevents fines that must be paid prior to graduation. Thank you!

Congratulations to Nyssa sixth grader, Ava Anderson, who finished tied for 49th place among all competitors at the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C. Anderson earned the privilege to compete by winning the Malheur County Spelling Bee earlier this year.
