COVID-19 Closure Update. NMS is working on providing supplemental instruction to students during the school closure. We will be making contact with families following spring break and staff will be preparing resources for at home learning. Keep an eye out for updates.

School Closure Update

Our school closure has been extended to April 28. After spring break our teachers will be adapting their courses to a temporary online format using google classroom, Zoom, online textbooks, edgenuity, and/or other online resources. We are fully committed to adjusting and providing the support needed for all students to earn credit and for our seniors to graduate on time.

According to Governor Brown's mandate to close schools, all school districts must offer to provide childcare services for health care providers, policemen, and first responders. If you are in one of these categories and need help with childcare, please notify the Nyssa School District. We have personnel and facilities available to help!

Thank you Nyssa students who met us on our route today delivering breakfast and lunch!! We will see you on March 30th. Enjoy your spring break #nyssaproud #InThisTogether

The Governor announced yesterday that schools will remain closed through April 28, 2020. We are developing plans to provide education to our students. The highest priority will be given to current Seniors so that they can meet all graduation requirements, but all children will receive instruction.
Also, students will get daily food from March 30-April 28 at different locations around town. We will post these locations soon. This is for all youth 18 years and younger. More information to follow.

It was great to see so many families out for breakfast and lunch this week! Enjoy your spring break. Soon we will update you on plans for food and learning between now and our return to regular school on April 28!
